Cullis Consumptives Home (first) is established.
1864
Founded by Dr. Charles Cullis, it is located in Grove Hall, the former country home of Thomas Kilby. A hospital for “incurables,” it is incorporated in 1870, and moves to a new building (second) in 1889.*
